Behind the Brand

The Story Behind the Alaxora Logo

How a bold wordmark and a pair of code brackets became the face of Alaxora.

Foundational Concept

Why a wordmark?

Every brand has a moment where an idea becomes a shape. For Alaxora, that shape is simple: seven bold letters, and one letter that looks back at you.

We wanted the name to do the talking. ALAXORA is set in heavy, confident capitals with tight spacing, so it reads instantly on a website header, a phone screen or a business card. No gradients, no decoration. If the logo works in plain black on white, it works everywhere.

The Hidden Detail

The O that has eyes

Look closely at the O. Inside the ring sit two small angle brackets, one pointing left and one pointing right: < and >. To a developer they are the opening and closing of an HTML tag. To everyone else they are a pair of eyes.

We deliberately left out the slash you would normally see in a closing tag. Without it, the brackets stop being syntax and start being eyes, and that small removal made the mark memorable.

Symbolism

That double meaning is the heart of the logo

A harmonious fusion of engineering precision and human warmth.

Code

The brackets nod to what we build: websites and digital products written line by line with clean architecture.

Character

The same shapes turn the O into a face, so the brand feels alive and approachable instead of cold and purely technical.

Focus

The eyes sit directly in the middle of the wordmark, naturally pulling attention to the one place where the logo shows personality.

Design Evolution

Milestones & Principles

01

Black and white, on purpose

The logo lives in two versions: black on white and white on black. Keeping the palette to the absolute basics means it never fights with a client's colours, a website theme or a social media banner. It also keeps the focus on the shape itself.

02

One mark, many sizes

A logo has to survive being small. The ring of the O works as a standalone icon, doubling as the favicon in a browser tab and as a profile picture on social platforms. At larger sizes you see the full face; at tiny sizes you still see a clean, recognisable circle.

03

What it says about Alaxora

The logo is a small promise. It says we are bold but approachable, technical but human, and that we pay attention to the details most people overlook, which is exactly how we like to build websites.
